Today we have a beautiful heritage home renovation coming to you from Downtown Fredericton, at the home of Lois Steeves.
The homeowner undertook a large indoor and outdoor renovation to transform a historical home into a perfect paradise.
Sharpe Builders got to work quickly to begin the renovation.
Now it’s time to move onto the inside shots!
The home started out with a typical older style kitchen. It lacked functionality and style, so the home owner was ready for an overhaul!
Jim, our designer, sat down with the homeowner and in no time, we had a plan of action. Check out the on-site hand drawings below:

Beautiful! The new window was brought down to the counter, cabinets were raised to ceiling height with bulk head removed, and the stove was moved to the corner to optimize space and work flow.

And after! With our seamless Avondale laminate counters counters, made right here at our factory, we are able to cut the countertop right into the window, giving the illusion of granite or quartz. Look how much light comes in through the new projected window:

With the refrigerator and surrounding boxes pushed back, the kitchen feels much more spacious:
A two drawer Fisher & Paykel dishwasher makes cleaning up a breeze!
A built in high volume garbage can provides lots of space for recycling and kitchen waste. Just pup the clips off and remove the garbage bag for a quick change!
A walk in corner pantry has ample space for all dried goods. Everything you need, within arms reach. Shallow shelves helps you avoid losing items, and is the perfect corner solution!
The laundry area also got it’s own revamping! Beautiful cabinets to co-ordinate with the kitchen:
